Eight Days of Hope

Sis-in-law EJ and I went to 8 days of Hope on May 27. 8 days of Hope is an organization that has focused on cleaning and rebuilding the coast. EJ and I volunteered. We were working in Bay St. Louis and Waveland, MS. We cleaned trash, helped people and then painted a house. The coast is still in desperate need. There are so many houses that are still unlivable. The trash and debris is still overwhelming. We had many good experiences and many hard, sobering experiences.
Continue to keep those on the coast in your prayers. It will be years to come before any part of the MS Gulf Coast is "back to normal"
